Día de Los Muertos Calavera Decorating

An engaging bilingual art workshop for families that honors Mexican heritage and the traditional Day of the Dead. Conducted completely free of charge, the workshop lets participants of all ages fashion and sculpt decorative skulls (calaveras) using magical modeling clay. The class teaches the artistic symbolism behind these skulls as a joyful homage to remembering departed family members. All specialized crafting materials are supplied at no cost by the library branch.
